Information That You Provide Voluntarily on the Websites. Volunteers in Medicine collects personally identifiable information that you enter into data fields on the Websites. For example, when you access the “Become a Patient” feature via a Website, you may be asked for certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name and email address. Other features of the Websites may ask for other personally identifiable information necessary for the proper functionality of such features. We may retain email and other communications that you send us in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve the Services.

When you access the Websites, Volunteers in Medicine may collect certain generalized information without your actively providing such information. This data is collected and helps when we update the website and to maintaining a positive user experience.
As with any medical office we are bound by the HIPAA (Health Insurance Privacy and Accountability Act) for our patients. We also respect the privacy of our Volunteers and Sponsors. We do not sell, give away or in any way discuss our patients, volunteers or sponsors information including their email addresses.
