Diane Raines – Women with Heart Honoree for October 2018
Diane S. Raines, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, has served at Baptist Health for over 40 years in a variety of clinical and administrative roles, including the role of Chief Nursing Officer for the past twelve years. She is a Johnson & Johnson Wharton Executive Fellow in Nursing and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. As the CNO, Dr. Raines led the team that has achieved the Magnet quality designation three times for the health system. Dr. Raines leads a team of nurse executives that, in collaboration with their physician colleagues and other team members is responsible for
safe, quality patient care delivered with compassion and respect. Diane is engaged in the community and currently serves on the board of the MASS clinic. She has served with The Bridge of Northeast Florida and the United Way Community Cabinet. Dr. Raines has a bachelor of science in nursing from Florida State University, a masters in nursing science from the University of Florida and a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of North Florida. Dr. Raines has made professional presentations locally, nationally and internationally. She has been recognized as an alumna of both FSU and UF and as a Woman of Influence by the Jacksonville Business Journal. She is married with two grown sons.
