Mary Reval – Women with Heart Honoree for September 2020
Mary Reval, DNP, RN, joined Memorial in September 2017 as the Chief Nursing Officer. Mary has been with HCA since 2004. She started her nursing career at a teaching hospital in central Connecticut where she worked as a critical care nurse before transitioning into nursing leadership roles. Mary was a nursing director at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida when she joined the executive development program with HCA. She has served as Chief Nursing Officer for Specialty Hospital in Jacksonville, West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala and Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center prior to returning to Jacksonville, Florida. Mary enjoys taking an active role in the community by serving as Vice President of the Great 100 Nurses in Jacksonville, advisory member for Community Hospice and Palliative Care Compliance and Quality Oversight Committee, past chair for the March of Dimes, and as an advisory board member for local nursing schools. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Central Connecticut State University and her Master of Nursing from the University of Connecticut. Mary completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice program at Chamberlain College of Nursing, with a focus on Nursing Leadership.
Mary and her husband Craig have been married for over 30 years and have four daughters, Melissa, Michelle, Samantha and Stephanie, two grandsons, Henry and Levi, and a granddaughter, Stella. During her time off, she enjoys time with her family, the outdoors, the beach, shopping, and family vacations.
